Colonel Jose Johriel Cenabre, commander of the 2nd Marine Brigade and chief of the Joint Task Force Sulu, said the 41-year old victim, Casilda Villarasa, was with her 9-year-old daughter Valeria when abducted by armed men in Asturias village.
The victims were on their way to Integrated Provincial Hospital (IPHO) in Jolo at around 6:30 a.m.
“The daughter managed to run away from the armed men and reported the incident,” Cenabre said, adding that Villarasa was dragged into a parked getaway vehicle.
The victim is the wife of Sgt. Faustino Villarasa, who works as medical technologist at the IPHO.
