PUBLIC school teachers who served as Board of Election Inspectors (BEIs) in last Monday’s elections will receive their P4,000 honorarium this week.

Cebu  provincial election supervisor Eddie Aba said cash cards issued by Landbank and the United Coconut Planters Bank (UCPB) were already distributed to the teachers last Friday.

“They (teachers) just have to wait. Their honoraria will be sent to them by our election officers anytime this week,” Aba said.

He credited the teachers for helping ensure the integrity of the election process.

“The teachers and the media were heroes who helped maintain the integrity of the election process by teaching people the voting process and being informed all the time about what’s happening in the elections,” Aba said.
