MANILA, Philippines — A poll watchdog on Monday said that tension rose between their officers and election inspectors who were trying to bring ballots to a detention facility in Olongapo.

Citing reports, Ana De Villa-Singson, Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) media director, told reporters Monday afternoon that there was no special resolution calling for ballots to be brought out of polling centers for detainees.

“We have called the office of Commissioner Lim and have been told that there’s no such special resolution and that the detainees are supposed to vote inside the polling center,” she said.

“The ballots will not be brought out for them,” added the PPCRV official.
