MANILA, Philippines—Amidst uncertainty on whether the opposition can indeed achieve a full-slate victory this midterm elections, Vice President Jejomar Binay and his family cast their votes in Makati City Monday.

The Vice President was accompanied by his wife former Makati Mayor Elenita Binay, and children Makati Mayor Jejomar Erwin Binay Jr., Nancy, Marita Angeline Binay, and senatorial candidate Ma. Lourdes “Nancy” Binay-Angeles.

Nancy Binay told reporters that she voted for all of the United Nationalist Alliance’s (UNA) senatorial candidates in her ballot but remained mum on whether she voted for three more candidates.

“It’s a secret but I did vote for all of UNA’s senatorial candidates. I won’t say whether I voted for three more,” she said.

Nancy’s husband, Jose Benjamin Angeles, also voted alongside the Binay family.

In an earlier interview with reporters outside his home, the Vice President said he was confident that his son, re-electionist Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay Jr., and his daughters Nancy Binay and re-electionist Makati Representative Abigail Binay would win.

But asked whether the UNA could accomplish a 9-0 sweep, Binay said “we shall see.”

“How do you define a victory? Is it a 9-0 sweep? Let’s look at the results first as these will determine if we did well during the campaign,” he told reporters in a separate interview as he was walking to the San Antonio National High School to cast his vote.

Nancy, as of 11:07 p.m. partial unofficial Comelec tally is on the number five slot with 8, 594, 831 votes.
