MANILA, Philippines – Reelectionist Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim cast his vote in Tondo early Monday.
Lim, accompanied by running mate Lou Veloso, and other staff, arrived at the R. Almario Elementary School in Zaragosa Street around 8:20 a.m.
After voting, Lim will accompany Veloso at his polling precinct in Sta. Ana.
Lim urged voters to reject offers from unscrupulous candidates who would offer to buy their votes, or put indelible ink on their forefingers in exchange for money to make sure they would no longer go to the polling precincts.
Article continues after this advertisementThe incumbent mayor is going up against former President Joseph Estrada who is set to cast his vote at P. Burgos Elementary School within the day.
