Enriquez, Ramirez win 23k crowns

Riez Enriquez and Mereeis Ramirez emerged winners in the second leg of the Argao-Moalboal Highlands Endurance Run II yesterday at the Coal Mountain Resort in Argao town, southern Cebu.

Enriquez beat Michael Largo and Alvirg Busa to the finish line as he topped the 23-kilometer race in one hour, 50 minutes and 14 seconds.

Largo finished in one hour, 50 minutes and 22 seconds to finish second while Busa placed third by clocking one hour, 51 minutes and 22 seconds.

Ramirez, meanwhile,  lorded the women’s 23k race with a time of two hours, 16 minutes and 14 seconds. She defeated Joery Lee, who finished in  two hours, 34 minutes and five seconds. Keisha Mae Delechos placed third with a time of two hours 34 minutes and 44 seconds.

Isaac Simat defeated  fellow Kenyans Douglas Mwiti and Elliod Lelei to top the 23k foreign division with a time of one hour, 43 minutes and three seconds.

Mwiti finished second with a time of one hour, 51 minutes and 26 seconds while Lelei clocked one hour, 54 minutes and 38 seconds for third place.

Joel Delposo and Lovely Fe Andrin, on the other hand, once again won the short distance crowns.  They won the 10k titles in the first leg last Saturday.

Yesterday, Delposo clocked 51 minutes and 41.17 seconds while Andrin clocked one hour, eight minutes and five seconds to win the 11k race.
