BOHOL—A candidate for mayor in Bohol is facing charges after several firearms and rounds of ammunition were found in his house where two militiamen were ambushed on May 4.

A complaint of illegal possession of firearms and ammunition was filed against Alfonso del Rosario Jr. in the Bohol provincial prosecutor’s office on Wednesday, said Senior Supt. Constantino Barot Jr., Bohol police chief.

He said the complaint was filed after Del Rosario’s house in Barangay Cantuba in Buenavista town yielded high powered firearms during a raid.
