Green Lantern leads Jrs div. of Cekalco

THE Green Lantern snared the lead in the Juniors Division after beating the Pink-Panthers, 82-74, for its fourth win in six games in the CEKALCO-2013, Mayor Mike Rama Cup Inter-color basketball tournament at the A. Lopez open court.

Pink-Panthers led, 22-20 in the opening period but the Green Lantern unloaded a, 24-14 bomb in the second for an 8-point lead, 44-36, at the half and never looked back.

Rowjel Escolar fired a game-high 23 points for Green Lantern while Seboy Condrilon and Ronald Dolera paced the Pink-Panthers with 20 and 19 points, respectively.

Earlier, Maroon nipped Yellow Submarine, 87-86, for its 3rd win in five games (3-2).
