MANILA, Philippines—Operations of the Light Rail Transit Line 2 have resumed after it was disrupted by a massive power failure Wednesday afternoon.
LRT spokesman Hernando Cabrera said that LRT2 trains went back to normal operations at 2:45 p.m. However, LRT1 operations remained suspended.
Lines 1 and 2 of LRT were earlier placed under code red due to a widespread power interruption around 1:50 p.m.
Trains were “put on hold” and passengers were not allowed to enter the stations.
Operations of the Metro Rail Transit were also back to normal.
