The Gaisano Capital South-University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters try to keep their momentum going as they face off against the Lion Tiger-University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) Panthers today in the Enervon-Cesafi Partner’s Cup at the Cebu Coliseum.
The second-running Webmasters are showing plenty of promise for the upcoming Cesafi wars as they sport a 6-2 (win-loss) record in this preseason competition. They nabbed their second straight win last Sunday, after slipping past the San Marino-Cebu Institute of Technology Wildcats, 84-80, behind the crucial shots of Gerald Ampoon and Jan Auditor, who tallied 14 and 12 points, respectively.
Article continues after this advertisementThe Panthers, on the other hand, continued their slide as they lost, 60-67, to the Cebu Landmasters-University of San Carlos (USC) Sunday night for a 2-6 slate.
In the first game, the quest continues for Raphael’s Sports Bar-University of San Jose-Recoletos’ (USJ-R) first win of the tournament as they take on San Marino. USJ-R has struggled to find the basket, tallying a lowly 40 points against Prime Asia last Sunday, en route to their eighth loss in a row.
