FISH VENDOR GUNNED DOWN

A 45-YEAR-OLD fish vendor was shot dead by two motorcycle-riding assailants in barangay Poblacion, Cordova town in Mactan Island, Cebu.
Ramil Macan was on board a trisikad with his 11-year-old daughter when he was attacked at 11:50 p.m. Thursday.
The father and daughter were on their way home.
The driver of the trisikad failed to jot down the motorcycle’s plate number, police said.
The victim’s daughter and the driver were unhurt.

MAN DIES IN BIKE CRASH

A 57-YEAR-OLD man died after the motorcycle he was driving crashed along a national highway in barangay Poblacion, San Remigio town, northern Cebu.
Federico Daanoy was on his way home to barangay Punta when he met an accident around 8 p.m. last Wednesday.
The victim came from a fiesta celebration in barangay Argawanon prior to the incident.
Police said Daanoy was thrown off after he lost control of the motorcycle while negotiating a rough road, PO3 Felipe Mandal of San Remigio police said.
The man had no helmet on during the incident, police said./Correspondent Joy Cherry S. Quito

MAN KILLED IN SAN FERNANDO

A 34-YEAR-OLD man was fatally shot by his neighbor in barangay Sangat, San Fernando, southern Cebu.
Mike Rosner Bacus was attacked while walking home Thursday night.
Police said Bacus suffered gunshot  wounds in the leg, face and body. The victim also had a stab wound in the chest.
The victim’s wife told police that prior to the incident, her husband talked about his conflict with his neighbor identified as Amelito Enad.
