GENERAL SANTOS CITY – Kris Aquino announced here on Thursday she planned to buy a beachfront property in Glan, Sarangani, after falling in love with the place during a recent visit.

Aquino wrote on her Twitter account that she had fallen in love with the beach at Barangay (village) Gumasa on Sarangani Bay when she first came in February.

Aquino was then on a shoot her for her week-long KrisTV Birthday Special when she decided to take a break. In a spur-of-the-moment decision, the TV host said, she and her crew visited Glan, about 62 kilometers from here, and were awed by what they found:  a fine white-sand beach stretching the entire length of a cove.

“It was love at first sight for [Kris Aquino], who even quipped that she would want to buy a property there,” the city government staffer said.

The staffer said Aquino even said in jest: “Everybody would want to be my neighbor” if she bought a property there.

The sight must have been so lovely and her experience so fulfilling that she devoted a major portion of her subsequent TV show on Gumasa and its beach.
