CEBU CITY, Philippines –President Benigno Aquino III has stopped his youngest sister, Kris, from commenting on whether or not she would vote straight for the administration-backed Team PNoy senatorial ticket.
Kris herself revealed this when confronted again on Friday with a question as to whether she would support the entire slate of the President.
“Nagtext sa akin kasi si PNoy at si Pinky, my ate, wag ko daw sagutin yan. Sorry ha, ( PNoy and my sister, Pinky, texted me not to answer that question. Sorry),” she said during a press conference here.
“At least, di ba masunurin? Sinabihan ako don’t answer, ok I won’t answer.”
So when asked if she would support her friend, opposition senatorial candidate Nancy Binay, Kris said: “I don’t want to put my brother in an alanganin (awkward) position… I hope you don’t mind if I don’t answer that.”
“Pero I don’t think there’s anything wrong with having friends and with supporting their friends,” she added.
The President has been strongly campaigning for a 12-0 sweep for his senatorial slate in the May 13, 2013 elections.
