Urban poor group endorses BOPK
BANDO Osmeña Pundok Kauswagan (BOPK) candidates received a commitment of support from an urban poor group called Alliance of Peoples Organization Working for the Empowerment and Resettlement (All power).
Group president Floro Enricoso said that the 2,300 families under 22 community-based chapters will be voting for all the BOPK candidates “whom we believe to have a heart for the poor and (will be) able to carry out the interest of our group,” in the May 13 election.
All power members are from barangays Mambaling, Budlaan, Bulacao, Calamba, Busay and Basak Pardo.
Not to be outdone, Mayor Michael Rama for his part said that he also has his own share of endorsements from different sectoral groups including the Cebu City Youth Movement who are looking for a “healthy” mayor.
“Ako, daghan sad ang ni supporta nako pero wala lang nako gipa butang sa newspaper,” he said.
(I also have many supporter, but I did not publicize it.)
