Neighborhood president slain at her QC home
A homeowners association president was shot dead at her own home in Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City, Thursday afternoon in another attack apparently mocking police campaigns against motorcycle-riding gunmen.
One of the two assailants tried to scare away witnesses by shouting out that he was a policeman, after they killed Delfina Macapagal inside her residence on Kamagong Street.
“Yuko, yuko! Puputukan ko kayo, pulis ako! (Get down or I’ll shoot you! I’m a cop!),” the man was heard saying, according to PO2 Alvin Quisumbing of the Quezon City Police District.
Macapagal, 56, president of the Kamagong-Kasoy Homeowners Association, was shot twice in the head.
Two men playing chess near the house heard the shots and rushed to the scene.
They then encountered the gunmen who were about to flee on their bike, one of whom threatened to fire at those would dare get in their way. Julie Aurelio
