THE LATE National Artist for Music and Literature lyricist Levi Celerio landed in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the only man who could play music on a leaf. Born in Tondo, Manila, on April 30, 1910, Celerio wrote around 4,000 songs, including the lyrics to “Sa Ugoy ng Duyan” and “Dungawin Mo, Hirang.” It is said that he could finish a song’s lyrics in an average of 20 minutes.
