Habal-habal driver strangled, dumped in Danao ravine
THE decomposing body of a 25-year-old habal-habal driver was found in a ravine in barangay Binaliw, Danao City, northern Cebu.
Police identified the fatality as Marjun Canedo of barangay Tabok, Danao.
Two children picking fruits in the area found the body in a 20-feet deep ravine around 4 p.m. Friday.
The victim might have been strangled because of a ligature mark in his neck, Insp. Romeo Caacoy, deputy police chief of Danao city, said.
Cacoy said at least two persons were involved in the attack.
The victim’s motorcycle was missing but police discounted the possibility that robbery was the motive in the killing since his wallet containing cash remained intact.
