OLONGAPO CITY—The body of a man who had stab wounds in the chest and who police suspected to be Korean washed up along the shore of a beach in this city on Wednesday.

Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Recomono Jr., Olongapo police director, on Thursday said investigators were waiting for confirmation whether the man found in Baloy beach was Korean because they did not find any document that could identify the victim.

A photograph of the man posted by Briane Michelle Belando on the social networking site Facebook showed that the victim’s feet were tied to a rock. The victim was wearing brown shorts and had no shirt on.
