JP Steelwood 81/85 completed yet another title run as they swept Batch ’95, 89-58, to capture the Division 1 championship in the recent University of San Carlos Boys High Alumni Basketball Association (USCBHABA) at the Aznar Coliseum.
JP Steelwood wasted no time in asserting themselves as they took a, 54-27 lead at halftime and never looked back for their second championship in a row. They also won the USCBHABA title last year.
Former pro, Lou Regidor, steered the winners by scoring 19 of his 26 points in the first half while Bing Pua and Dean Wong combined to score 30 points.
Batch 95, which played without main man Dale Caparas, was led by Wendell Cenas who had 19 points. Danny Borbajo chipped in 14 points while Christian Solon had 10. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
