1 killed, 1 hurt in Zamboanga del Sur gun attack
MANILA, Philippines—One was killed while another was injured Tuesday when they were fired upon by armed men in Zamboanga del Sur, police said Wednesday.
Police Officer 2 Radzben Jul said the attack occurred in Barangay (village) Mahayahay, Kumalarang in Zamboanga del Sur around 4 p.m.
He said victims Nely Joy Molina and Reneboy Ampoan were on a motorcycle when six still unidentified assailants shot them.

Molina died on the spot, while Ampoan was rushed to hospital for treatment.
Jul said authorities have yet to determine the motive behind the attack, but added that a hot pursuit operation has been launched for the gunmen.
