16 suspected drug pushers arrested in Navotas City’s anti-narcotics drive

MANILA, Philippines — The Navotas City government has reported more gains in its campaign against the proliferation of illegal drugs in the city.

In a statement, the Navotas City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (Nadac) revealed that it has arrested 16 drug pushers in the city in separate operations in March.

According to the Nadac, the alleged drug pushers were arrested in Barangay (villages of) Tangos, San Roque, Bagumbayan North, North Bay Boulevard-North, and North Bay Boulevard-South.

The council has again urged barangay chairmen to continually update its watchlist of suspected drug pushers and coordinate with the council on surveillance and arrest operations.

The council has also encouraged people to continue sending information to them that might lead to the arrest of drug dealers and pushers in the city.

To further intensify its anti-illegal drugs efforts, the Nadac, through the Navotas Police Station’s Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Group is looking to increase the number of its members to 19 police officers, up from the current six.
