Another suspect nabbed in clash between cops, armed group in Batangas
MANILA, Philippines – Another suspect in the clash between police authorities and an armed group on Tuesday morning in San Juan, Batangas, has been caught, police said.
Superintendent Nicolas Torre, San Juan police spokesman, said they arrested a total of four suspects from the still unidentified group that shot it out with policemen at around 9 a.m. at Riverside, San Juan, Batangas.
Torre said they nabbed a certain Gerardo Datinguinoo who fled on board a motorcycle from the scene. Calabarzon police director Chief Superintendent Gil Meneses earlier stated that San Juan police arrested three of the suspects: Romeo Cadano, 36, Cristopher Castillo, 35, and Porfirio Hernandez, 49.
Two police officers were injured in the encounter, said Torre.
