MANILA, Philippines — About 20 people were injured when the truck they were riding hit another truck in Quezon City before dawn Thursday, a Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) officer said.

Vincent Lizada of MMDA-Metrobase said the collision occurred along the southbound lane of EDSA-Kaingin in Quezon City around 3:50 a.m., when an ELF truck loaded with fish hit a trailer truck carrying a backhoe.

“Nabangga ng ELF yung kamay ng backhoe na dala dala ng trailer truck,” Lizada said, which caused the ELF truck to fall on its side.
