Subdivision worker stabbed dead

A MAINTENANCE worker of a subdivision was stabbed dead allegedly by his nephew in barangay Bacayan, Cebu City.

The body of Felimon Lapera, 50, was found beside Villa Leyson subdivision early morning yesterday. The victim bore several stab wounds in the body.

Marino Inanoria, 25, was tagged as a suspect in the killing, SPO4 Alex Dacua, homicide investigator of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO), said.

No arrest has been made yet.

“We are investigating him (Inanoria) since he was the last person who was seen with the victim before the killing,” Dacua said in Cebuano.

Police said before he was found dead, Lapera and Inanoria had a drinking session where they reportedly argued.

A security guard of the subdivision said he saw two men walking outside the subdivision. Later, the other man brought his companion to a grassy area.

The security guard said he saw the other man who was later identified as Lapera slumped on the ground while his companion fled.

Police said the features of the man who brought Lapera to the grassy area matched with Inanoria’s description given by the security guard.

An operation to locate Inanoria is in progress, police said./CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
