Aguilar rules Pro Lite, Open divisions of Kopiko Supercross

GLENN Aguilar of Manila flashed his deadly riding skills en route to topping the Pro Lite and Open divisions of the Kopiko 3-in-1 Supercross Series Championships in Baciolod over the weekend.

Aguilar outraced Cebuano champion Jon Eleazar Adlawan in the third leg of the year round race. Adlawan finished second while Donark Yuzon rounded off the top three in the Pro division. Cebuano Juvenile Abellar placed fourth while Bornok Mangosong finished fifth.

Aguilar also topped the second leg of the series in Bais City last March 9-10.

More than a hundred motocross and underbone riders braved the tough race track conditions at the Centrali Subdivision in the “City of Smiles.”

Doy Bandigan captured the Beginners and Novice Open division titles. Bandigan beat Intermediate division champion Jacob Orbe in the Novice division with Abu Mata placing third.

In the Beginners division, Michael Jan Tapic finished second to Bandigan with Juven Lagrada coming in third.

Finishing second and third in the Intermediate division were Irwin Uypitching and JB Bacabac. Ayen Ledesma led the top three finishers in the Open Enduro followed by Jefward Torio and Jed Luna.

Luna however, rebounded by winning the Local Enduro division with Jose Ocaban and Tristan Lou Galanto finishing second and third, respectively.

Jay Lacnit finished on top in the Veterans B division while Galanto capped his campaign by claiming the top spot in the Veterans C category.

Pia Gabriel took top honors in the Women’s division by beating highly-rated RK Cuesta and Marrian Yapparcon while Buddy Pavillar lorded the Underbone division followed by Felson Ray Baculpo and Paim Onahon. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
