THE Big Chill Superchargers aim to gain some headway on one of the six playoff spots when they tackle the Fruitas Shakers today in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Ynares Arena in Pasig City.
The Superchargers gun to win back-to-back games after they won over Cagayan Valley, 93-92, last time out. Fruitas though, will be no easy out as they too, are aiming to get back on track after their three-game winning run got derailed by Cagayan Valley, 74-80.
At 3-2 [win-loss] record, the Superchargers are tied with Rising Suns and the defending champion NLEX Road Warriors at fourth spot. But a second straight win would enhance their chances for a better playoff position.
In the other game, the Rising Suns attempt to bounce back when they battle EA Regen Med at 4 p.m. Team Delta is also determined to halt a two-game skid and join the wild and wooly playoff race.
EA Regen Med lost to Boracay Rum, 75-85, on April 1 then took another blow, 92-107, against Café France on April 4.
The top two teams of the elimination round will earn outright passage into the semifinals while the next four teams will advance to the quarterfinals with the third and fourth placed teams earning a twice-to-beat advantage. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
