MANILA, Philippines—Department of Trade and Industry Undersecretary Zenaida Maglaya said Tuesday that adjustment in prices of processed meats will only be implemented after notice submitted by meat processors are approved.
“Sa ngayon wala pa naman silang abiso kung magkano or kung ito nga talaga ay mangyayari. Nagsabi lang sila na baka magtaas,” Maglaya said in an interview with Radyo Inquirer 990AM.
(So far they have not yet sent notice of price adjustment or would this really happen. They just gave word they might raise prices.)
She said it has been agreed that DTI will first have to study the request from manufacturers on price adjustment.
