An elderly couple and a TV network employee lost on Saturday around P3.6 million worth of valuables to burglars who broke into their unattended homes in the same village in Quezon City.

Juanito Littaua, 80, and his 73-year-old wife Teresita, reported a burglary at their house on Scout Limbaga Street in Barangay Sacred Heart in which they lost P3.5 million worth of valuables, including jewelry and P50,000 in cash.

On the other hand, Shiela Diamse, 28, an executive producer of a morning program over television network ABS-CBN, complained she lost close to P100,000 worth of electronic gadgets and wrist watches as thieves broke into her house on Scout Fernandez Street in the same village.

Senior Police Officer 1 Cristituto Zaldarriaga of the Quezon City Police District’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit said that the Littauas  left their house unattended between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday. When they returned, they found out that someone had forcibly opened the door. Jeannette I. Andrade
