Iraq campaign suicide attack kills 25–officials

BAQUBA, Iraq– A coordinated attack involving a suicide bombing on an open-air election campaign meeting in central Iraq killed 25 people on Saturday, officials said, raising an earlier toll.

A militant threw a grenade at the meeting in the restive city of Baquba, 60 kilometers (35 miles) from the Iraqi capital, before a suicide bomber blew himself up, a police colonel and a medic at the city hospital said.

At least 60 people were wounded in the attack.
