San Miguel 5 nips Bagtik

THE San Miguel dribblers hacked out a 74-67 win over Bagtik to complete the semifinalists in the 1st Lou Ornopia Basketball Tournament at the barangay Calambua open court in San Remigio town, northern Cebu.

San Miguel, Bagtik and Ilihan all finished the initial round with similar 1-2 (win-loss) slates. San Miguel took the number two spot owing to its superior quotient while Batik and Ilihan will be the number three and four seeds, respectively.

Team Olkaz-Calambua will be the number one seed in the semis after sweeping the three-game elimination round. It will have a twice-to-beat edge against Ilihan in Saturday’s semifinal matches.

The month-long tilt is one of the activities of Calambua’s annual fiesta in honor of its patron San Vicente Ferrer on April 13.
