MANILA, Philippines–Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Raul Bacalzo appealed on Monday to election fraud whistle blower, Superintendent Rafael Santiago and his men, to report for duty.

Bacalzo clarified that attending press conferences “cannot be considered an act of reporting.”

“He has 30 days to report for duty,” Bacalzo said.

The PNP earlier warned that Santiago could be dropped from the rolls if he failed to explain his absence within 30 days of being declared absent without leave.

Bacalzo said he has been instructed to temporarily assign Col. Santiago and his officers to PNP administration center for accounting purposes, if ever they do report for duty.
