With the deadline over, police are looking for the friend of the son of suspended Cebu Gov. Gwen Garcia for failing to surrender his firearms whose licenses have been revoked.

Jose Cal, friend of Paolo Garcia, was given until Friday last week to surrender his three firearms but failed to do so, said Supt. Rex Derillo, chief of the Firearms, Explosives Security Service Agency and Guards Supervisory Section (FESSAGSS).

The license of Cal, Paolo and Tonyson Lee were revoked due to their conduct in the removal of tents posted at the Capitol gate last Dec. 19.

Derillo said they had gone to the house of Cal but he was not around. A notice of the revocation of license of the firearms was left in the house.

“It will be better if he surrenders the firearms instead of waiting for the police to take action against him,” Derillo said.

Records at FESSAGSS showed that Lee owned four licensed firearms but he only surrendered a .45 pistol on March 15, claiming that he had sold the three firearms.
