Pasay offers summer sport clinic

Young residents of Pasay City who want to spend their summer break learning how to swim or other sport such as  taekwondo or karate can do so for free through the five-day Summer Sports Clinic.

The sport clinic will be from April 2 to 6, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at the Pasay City Sports Complex (PCSC) on F. B. Harrison Street.

In a statement, Mayor Antonino Calixto said with the free classes, the city government hoped to make the summer vacation of the youth more fun and meaningful.

“This year, individual and team sports are being offered. Professional sports coaches will be with our children to teach swimming, taekwondo, karate, basketball, volleyball, badminton and table tennis,” he added.

The clinic is open for two age brackets, children aged 8 to 12 and 13 to 16.

Those interested in participating should submit a medical certificate, barangay clearance and 1 x 1 photo at the Pasay City Sports Complex. Parents will be asked to sign a waiver allowing their children to take part in the program.
