MANILA, Philippines—Traffic slowed down for a few minutes in the Pampanga portion of the North Luzon Expressway following a three-vehicle collision Thursday afternoon.
Dave Bautista of NLEX traffic control room said three vehicles categorized under “class A” figured in a “minor” rear-end collision on the Apalit area in Pampanga a little past 2 p.m.
A traffic advisory from the Toll Regulatory Board (@TRBSAFE) said the accident caused traffic congestion, but Bautista said it eased after the wrecked vehicles were cleared off the expressway around 2:25 p.m., or some 10 minutes later.
“Nasa 1 kilometer din ang na-create na build-up nito,” he said.
Bautista said the accident was caused by “tailing and insufficient braking distance.”
As of posting, traffic remains heavy at the Dau toll plaza.
