MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) on Wednesday said that it has allowed ships to have additional trips to accommodate the influx of passengers headed for the provinces this Holy Week.

Lawyer Nick Conti, DOTC spokesperson, told Radyo Inquirer in an interview that they have given the go signal for ships to go on more trips than usual, provided that they go through pre-departure inspection to ensure the passengers’ safe travel.
“We have allowed additional trips to avoid having passengers stranded at the seaports,” he said.
