Cordova enforcer shot, wounded

A 43-year-old traffic enforcer of Cordova town survived a shooting attack last Sunday in the town’s barangay Poblacion last Sunday.

Diomedes Pacaldo was drinking with friends at a roadside store when two men on a motorcycle stopped near them.

The backrider pulled out a .45 caliber pistol and shot Pacaldo in the back.

The assailants fled after the attack heading towards barangay Babag, Lapu-Lapu City.

Pacaldo’s friends rushed him to the Mactan Doctor’s Hospital for treatment.

Police were looking for the assailant, whom Pacaldo identified.

Police said the motive of the attack was work-related with the victim claiming that he had apprehended the assailant after committing a traffic violation./Correspondent Norman V. Mendoza
