Golf is top seed in Cekalco
Team Golf thrashed Charlie, 84-73, Saturday night to improve to 10-4 (win-loss) and share lead with Team Hotel at the close of the Second Elimination Round of the Center Katipunan A. Lopez Christian Organization (CEKALCO) 2013 – Mayor Mike Rama Cup basketball tournament at the A. Lopez open court.
Although Golf and Hotel share the lead, the former earned the top seeding with the ‘winner-over-the-other’ rule.
Gino Almencion and Kit Arellano led Golf’s offensive assault with 29 and 26 points, respectively while former USC Warrior Richie Garcia added 13 markers.
Coronel Baculio and Estoy Panerio paced Charlie with 17 and 16 points, respectively, as Bert Besties and skipper Richard Gubaton added 24 points combined.
Charlie is seeded 3rd after the loss with Delta seeded 4th.
