A SUPPLIER is asking the Cebu City government to pay for supplies worth P204,202.50 delivered last November to the City Risk Reduction Management (CRRM) Office.
Lydia Sia, vice president for finance of the Cebu Bionic Builder Supply Inc., wrote the CRRM on March 8 through Councilor Margot Osmeña to demand payment for their money claims.
Sia attached to her letter photocopies of the sales invoices, delivery receipts and the November 28, 2012 Notice of Award and Purchase Order (PO) which they received from city hall.
“We trust that you will find the above in order and we look forward for a speedy release of the proceeds of this request,” said Sia’s letter.
A copy of Sia’s letter was presented to the City Council during their March 20 session. The council referred the letter to CRRM through its executive director Alvin Santillana.
Santillan said that Bionic Builder’s claims were being processed.
He said the processing of the payment was delayed because the office needed to compile all documents required for the processing of the claim.
CRRM bought 26 items from Bionic Builders which included a diesel fuel engine driven generator set worth P52,000,two electric demolition hammers worth P37,300 each, heavy duty bolt cutter, 10 metal hallide float lights, two electric stand fans, and five portable emergency lamps.
Santillana said these were emergency purchases for use especially in the city’s clearing operations of fire sites. /Correspondent Edison A. Delos Angeles
