THE WESTPORT Malaysia Dragons beefed up their backcourt after they acquired former San Beda guard Julius Armon in the Asean Basketball League.
This was announced by the team in its official Twitter page, as the Dragons aim to replace the production left on the table by Cebuano sniper Patrick Cabahug, who is sidelined by an ankle injury.
Armon was seeing his first piece of action yesterday as they were playing the Singapore Slingers as of this writing.
Armon was set to play for the Red Lions in the NCAA last season but left the team during their training in the United States. He last saw action for San Beda during the Filoil Preseason tournament last year. He joins a loaded backcourt that also just recently signed former Gilas member Justin Melton.
The Dragons are trying to move up in the standings as they are currently in third place with a 6-6 (win-loss) record behind the San Miguel Beermen and the league-leading Indonesia Warriors. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
