US Navy ship to dock in Cebu port

SUBMARINE tender USS Frank Cable will dock in Cebu port this week.

The United States Embassy in Manila said two other vessels, the submarine USS Ohio and the destroyer USS Decatur arrived yesterday in Luzon. The USS Ohio docked in Subic, while USS Decatur in Manila.

The three US Navy ships are in the country for routine maintenance, replenishment of supplies, rest and recreation, and community assistance and outreach activities.

The nearly 650 feet long USS Frank Cable has a crew of 1,500 and serves as the U.S. 7th Fleet’s mobile repair and support platform.
