Rizal essay contest deadline extended

DUE to numerous requests from schools, Anvil Publishing has extended to Aug. 30 the deadline for the submission of entries to the essay competition “If Rizal Had Been a Blogger What Would He Have Blogged About?”

The contest is open to all public and private high school students from all over the country.

Contestants must submit an original essay of at least 800 words based on the experiences and works of Jose Rizal as a novelist, journalist and letter writer.

First prize is a Samsung N150-JP0C. Second and third prize winners, as well as the winners’ advisers, will get gift certificates from National Book Store and books from Anvil Publishing.
