Drunk American nabbed with 20 marijuana sticks

An American was arrested for drunkenness and for allegedly possessing at least 20 sticks of marijuana in barangay Tipolo, Mandaue City.

Police detained Jerry Coville, 36, of barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City at the Subangdaku Police Station after he was arrested last Sunday night.

PO1 Frederick Andales said they received a call informing them of an allegedly unruly and drunk American in Tipolo at past 8 p.m.

When police arrived, Coville even resisted arrest and challenged the policemen to a fistfight.

Police overpowered the American and then frisked him where they found the marijuana sticks in his pocket.

Coville will be charged for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act and for violating the Mandaue City Ordinance on drunkenness in public places./Correspondent Chito O. Aragon
