The 3R AUDIO ’98 and Jepoy ’99 enjoyed a victorious weekend as they tallied impressive wins over separate opponents in the Cebu Eastern College Alumni Basketball Association’s 12th Dr. Chen Lieh Fu Memorial Cup last Saturday at the CEC gym.
Rex Millan sizzled for 26 points, spiked by four three-pointers, to power class ‘98 over Argentina Corned Beef ’84/87/90, 65-59.
In the other game, Mark Eugene Bukiron scored a season-high 41 points on top of 12 rebounds to tow Class ’99 to a 65-55 thrashing of First ACY Shipping Corp. 2006.
Millan also got help from Robinson Yap, who had 12 points as ’98 got its eighth win in 13 games. Paul
Michael Cabellon scattered 28 points, seven rebounds and seven steals, while Sammy Sia tossed in 16 markers and nine rebounds as Class ’83/87/90 absorbed its eight loss against only two wins.
In the main game, Class ’99 rode on a dazzling offensive show by Bukiron to notch its sixth victory in 10 starts, while dropping Class 2006 to 2-10. Timothie Tan added 11 points. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
