Dewfoam crawls back to beat Best World Lifestyle

DEWFOAM ’88 unleashed an offensive storm in the fourth period to come back from behind and best the Best World Lifestyle 2004, 64-59, in the Cebu Eastern College Alumni Basketball Association’s 12th Dr. Chen Lieh Fu Memorial Cup last Sunday at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

Gregorio Aguilar, Jr. and Erwin Yu fired 14 points each, while Richard Ng banged in a dozen markers on top of five rebounds and two assists as Dewfoam ’88 improved its record to 7-3 (win-loss).

Dewfoam trailed by seven heading to the final period but outscored its opponents, 20-8 in the fourth to hack out the win.

Joseph Aljhune Areja had 17 points, five rebounds and three assists, while Kevin Mamac and Eliot Emerson Uy combined for 23 points but their efforts went for naught as Class 2004 slipped to 5-4.

In the other game, Bryan Harry Labus exploded with 33 points, 10 rebounds and two assists as JV Shop n Shop ’97 walked away with a 63-58 win over Wild Rice 2007, its sixth in 11 games.
