Security guard shot to death in QC

The bullet-riddled body of a 29-year-old security guard was found Sunday at a development site for the central business district in Quezon City.

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) investigators recovered seven bullet shells from a cal. .45 pistol near the body of Nasrodin Saik, a resident of Pinagbuhatan in Pasig City. The victim was the development site’s officer in charge of security.

Police Officer 2 Hermogenes Capili of the QCPD Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit said that a coworker stumbled on to Saik’s body lying near a creek on Dubai Street, Barangay Pagasa in San Roque at 4:30 a.m. Sunday.

Security guard Alican Campong told the police that before he found the body, he heard shots being fired.

A Scene of the Crime Operations team said the victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the head and body.

Capili told the Inquirer that the killing may have something to do with a group working at the site which was suspected of stealing construction materials.
