MMDA warns public: Expect heavy traffic over the weekend

MANILA, Philippines—The weekend traffic might be heavy due to several road repair works that will be undertaken by the Department of Public Works and Highways.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said on Friday that the repair and improvement works along various roads in the metropolis would start Friday night and end Monday morning.

Areas affected are the following:

Mindanao Avenue, Quezon City (from Cattleya Street to North Avenue Soutbound first Lane); Quirino Highway (from Regalado North to Hill Top Northbound first lane); Fairview, QC (from Mindanao Extension to Mindanao Drive, Southbound third lane); North, Quezon Avenue and East Avenue (from Intersection of Mindanao and North Avenue near corner Mindanao Avenue)

MMDA chairman Francis Tolentino said the West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services would start repairing pipes along the Sales Bridge in Pasay by March 15 while pipe works would also be conducted along the stretch of Andrews Avenue in Pasay City.
