Cherish School holds beauty contest

THE Cebu Cherish School in Waling-Waling Street, Cebu City held its first-ever beauty pageant last Feb. 2.

Eight lovely candidates graced the crowd with their exquisite and posh appearance as they competed for the accolade of being crowned Miss Cebu Cherish School.

The ladies represented their respective year level in high school department.

Noelene Gayo and Stefan Marie Acebedo represented Grade 7; Shelley Lee and Jade Shannel Ty were the pride of Grade 8; Hezel Angelique Uy and Eunisse Marie Tan represented Grade 9; and Jowyna Kristine Yap and Karla Mae Verallo for Grade 10. The candidates had undergone serious preparations and trainings before the pageant.

Candidate number 7, Jowyna Kristine Yap seemed to be everybody’s favorite as she grabbed almost all the special awards: best in production number, best in fun wear, best in sports attire, best in talent, and best in cocktail dress. While candidate number 3, Karla Mae Verallo received the Voter’s Choice Award with almost 2,000 likes in her facebook photo.

In their final stage, the top 5 candidates were asked the same question and they were so witty and confident while convincing the judges with their answer. The winners were: Jowyna Kristine Yap  (Miss Cebu Cherish School 2013), Shelley Lee (1st runner-up), Jade Shannel Ty (2nd runner-up), Hezel Angelique Uy (3rd runner-up) and Karla Mae Verallo (4th runner-up).
