Both men, however, only suffered minor injuries but doctors at the nearby Mandaue District Hospital said that Rabanes, might have lost consciousness due to his high fever.

Both are employees of a trucking firm, Corbox Corp. based at the North Reclamation Area in Cebu City.

Probe

Investigation showed that Rabanes had just left their truck parking area at the Mandaue Reclamation Area together with Gabiana at past 9 a.m. yesterday.

As they were cruising along A. Soriano Avenue in Mandaue City. Gabiana said that he noticed Rabanes accelerating without changing gear before the incident.

Gabiana said he grabbed the wheel after he noticed that Rabanes was unconscious to avoid hitting other vehicles.

Gabiana’s move sent the truck heading to the sidewalk where it rammed the three post before stopping.
