Bravo, Alpha dump foes in Cekalco basketball

TEAM Bravo crushed powerhouse Delta (8-4) which played without Roland “El Presidente” Sameon, 99-90, for its fifth win in 12 games (5-7), while Alpha upset Charlie (7-4), 84-76, Friday night to improve to 3-8 in the Center Katipunan A. Lopez Christian Organization (CEKALCO)-2013, Second Season basketball tournament.

Delta jumped off to a blistering 30-8 start but Bravo responded with a searing, 35-11 run in the second to tip the scales in their favor and continuously spewed fire after posting the biggest lead, 79-65, entering the final quarter

and hold on to the lead the rest of the way to seal the 9-point win.

Tata Maspiñas topped Bravo with 27 points while Dondon Tenchavez and Francis Philip Nacar added 17 points apiece. Juniel Villarosa paced Delta with 36 markers on top of six trifectas while Randy Damulo and Julius Gutierez combined for 45.

In the other game, Alpha led from start to finish and posted the biggest lead of the game with 22 points, 55-33, at the half and never looked back.

Kenneth Beltran and Dondon Yap spearheaded Alpha with 23 and 22 points, respectively while Estoy Panerio and Richard Gubaton paced Charlie with 25 and 24 points, respectively.
