Rep. Ferjenel Biron cosponsored, seeks to convert Iloilo State College of Fisheries into Iloilo State University of Fisheries, Science and Technology.

Another measure, House Bill No. 4432, also authored by Angara and Iloilo City Rep. Jerry Trenas, seeks to convert Western Visayas College of Science and Technology, including all its campuses, into Iloilo State University.

Both measures have been approved by Congress earlier this month and are now awaiting action by Malacañang.
